Technical specifications

In the framework of VIVA Sustainability and Culture, the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition, in collaboration with OPERA, Research Centre for Sustainable Agriculture, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Agroinnova, Centre of Competence, University of Torino (2011-2014), developed a technical specification for calculating sustainability performance in vineyards and wine production. These technical specifications consist of:

• four technical documents for the analysis of the four indicators: Air, Water, Territory and Vineyard;

• the annexes containing the verification procedures needed for certification bodies and the specifications about the use of VIVA Label.

The Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition provides, if requested, the technical specifications and further updates according to European and International legislation in the sector.

The request will be subject to evaluation.
